I disagree, they may not be YOUR cup of tea but they certainly don't "suck"..no fuggin' way!!

a little too "Happy" for my liking as well but you can't deny the talent in that band..

They are NO trend..that music has been around forever..their from the Helloween school of metal..not the Dream Theater school...even tho there is prog influences in their soup..there is alot of power prog bands that sound like this for a VERY lond time "underground"..they just put their own spin on this..and took it up a notch IMO!!

I discovered Dragonforce over SIX years ago..and supported them ever since..even tho they are not excatly my cup of joe, ..I support talent/metal in general..because I'm completely obsessed with and appreciate both!!

if you don't support real metal bands..we'll get Limp Biscuit/Korn/Rage against the Bill Z Bub back, and call THAT "metal"..I don't want that to ever happen again..because THAT shit fuggin' "sucks"...IMO!!

Dragonforce is just one out of 10,000+ anthemic powermetal bands like Rhaposody, Skylark, Dragonland, Dreamtale, Sonata Artica and ect..it's their style, you may not like that style..but it's real and it's metal.

After 15 years of NO guitar solos , scratching records, making fart noises in your hands, and gettin' jiggy wit it...Dragonforce should be a breathe of fresh air..just because you didn't see them on MTV until now..it's a "Trend"..???!!

So when MTV/VH-1 starts to play your favorite metal bands for the first time in a decade or decades ..will that be a "trend" too..I guess so..

Dragonforce is NOT a "new" band..they have a demo and three records under their belt and been around since late '98..when Rap and NU ruled my world!!!

It's certainly refreshing to me to see guys that can play better than I in guitar world instead of some fag that makes ~wiggy~wiggy~wiggy~ noises on a guitar..SOUL POWER my ballZ!!

whether this resurgeance of metal is a trend or not..I don't give a damn..I'm just glad I can turn on my TV and watch a guitar solo I can't play instead of watching white kids holding their dicks dressed in FUBU wear..

HAIL to ALL true metal bands and shred..because true talent will never die, but TRENDS will always die!!!!

Damn right Bill. Ive been listening to Dragonforce for over 2 years, and I cant get enough of em! Just saw them life two weeks ago in Philly and DAMN do they put on a great show! While Ill be the first to agree that their music style isnt for everyone, NOONE CAN deny that they are a bunch of talented sumbitches!

And yeah, that guitar is hideous. He used it live, and it looks just as gay.
