Finntroll/Impaled Nazarene guitarist dead

This probably says nothing to the bulk of you, since I doubt that Finntroll and IN were very well known outside of Europe and Scandinavia.

Teemu "Somnium" Raimoranta apparently died in an alcohol related falling accident. I was never aware that he was a Jackson player, but the Finntroll website (http://www.finntroll.net/) has a picture of him playing an import Kelly.



There will be a memorial concert for him in Helsinki tomorrow, featuring Children of Bodom among others.

RIP, Somnium.

I never heard of him, or of Finntroll
either, but I'm sorry to hear he died. I've heard of Impaled Nazarene
and thought Alexi Laiho was once in that group? Correct me if I'm wrong.

An alcohol-related falling accident?

I"ve heard of them. BUt haven't actually heard their music. If CHildren of Bodom is going to play a tribute concert for them though...they must be good.

If nobody claims his stuff..I want that coat. Green Fur is pretty snazzy.

Let us pray that he's in a better place now, and be happy that he will be remembered through his music. I'll bet that that was what he'd want the most.
We can all relate to that.

I had no idea anyone else here had ever even heard of Finntroll. Their music has a distinctly Christmas-y sound to it. My friend really likes it, and whenever she plays it, I call it Christmas Metal, and she gets a kick out of it. Definitely original stuff, and pretty interesting too.

Wtf,this is really a sad thing guys...
however,I'm back!
