JACSONFREAK is absolutely right, and Fender is smart enough to realize that.
Jackson can't do without endorsers like Fender can, because Fender was 50% of the
market for years due to Gibson being the
only competition. THEIR endorsers are guys like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughn. In other words, half of 'em are dead legends
who'll sell rock guitars as long as they
are ever sold. Jackson has Randy Rhoads
at this point.
I'm starting to believe that, despite what they SAY, Fender bought this hoss to
sell it to the glue factory. They probably have to play a good game to make
the tax writeoff fly when Jackson goes
under the waves. If they're actually cutting endorsees who basically pay full
pop anyway, what's that tell you?
