Evenesence and Jackson DKMGT

I was checking out one of this month's issues of the guitar mag with Hendrix on it. There's a story about Evenesence. The guitarist is proudly displaying his Jackson DKMGT. He also plays it in the new video. That's pretty cool.

the singer is cool and the guitar parts really kinda rock. not bad for some pretty mainstreamy rock-band... refreshing to me. [img]images/icons/rolleyes.gif[/img]

he had it on the jay leno show too. search for on kazaa for evanescence leno and there is a good video of it... and she's kinda cute too [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

I've seen pictures of him playing an SLSMG also.

I wouldn't say they suck, in fact I think their the best thing in the mainstream at the moment. I'd much rather listen too them then sit through any of these garage rock or pop bands that are so common now. The song they have the video for "Bring Me To Life" has an alternate version called "Wake Me Up", and its much better than the video one, there's no ****ty nu-metal dude on it, just the girl. You can find it no problem on Kazaa.

I agree that this is the best band in mainstream right now. I've been listening to their cd a bit lately, and they have some damn good songs on there. I especially appreciate that they have their own distinct style. This is good music.

Just a point of interest. They had the #1 video for a while and when was the last time you saw a Jackson in a #1 video.

I think the band sounds cool with her "opera" like voice, and the music is very dynamic and heavy at times. [img]graemlins/toast.gif[/img]
