Does anyone have this tape AND booklet? If so, would anyone be so kind as to scan in the booklet and e-mail it to me? It would be hugely appreciated. I have a line on a tape, but it doesn't have the booklet. I'm desperate!

this seems to be getting rare.
I wish Marty would get this out on DVD so we could all benefit (as he would, from the additional sales). I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I could find it on DVD.the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Chad - I've downloaded that one as well - have you altered the file & burned it so it's playable on any DVD player? If so - how? I think the google files are .avi, but have something extra in the header? Cheers in advance.Wal - Good from far, but far from good

Melodic Control booklet
I was able to snag a videotape of it, and thanks to Fong I got the booklet in .PDF format as well. Can't wait!
Thanks to Special K as well for wanting to help out. I'm looking forward to going through this lesson. The link online though looks like it has been edited? I watched a little bit of it but I'm not sure it is missing anything or not. It would be nice if Marty was able to put it out through his website, but I didn't see anything there.

I did the conversion to DVD a few months ago, and I've been straining my brain here for a few minutes trying to remember how, but I'm coming up empty. I do remember that it took at least a couple different programs. The resulting DVD skips a little bit in the beginning and the pic quality leaves a lot to be desired on my 46" screen, but aside from that it is fine and it is definitely useable. I've been meaning to try to create a cleaner copy with Nero. I'll report back the steps to that if it turns out nicely.

Okay, I did some searching and found the software. I'm all about freeware whenever possible and had to do a lot of searching as the freeware, old version of this software is not an easy find, but here it is:
You have to choose version 0.5.2b. The other two versions are trial versions that will insert a watermark into the video.
Anyway, this will create a VIDEO_TS file that can be burned to DVD with your burning software of choice.

Gave it a go, but no luck yet - plus I ran out of blank DVDs & it won't write to the ones that I can write over! The conversion seemed to go ok, but when I started to try to burn (using ImgTool & ImgBurn) it said there were too many sectors - the file size was about 1.2Gb & a DVD holds about 4.7Gb? Obviously, I'm no computer genius!
jk2171 - I couldn't beg for a copy of the .pdf could I?Wal - Good from far, but far from good

I've spent hours of time reading about DVD media....and this is the short of it. If you want reliable DVD media, buy either Verbatim or Sony 8x Made in Japan (if you can find any left in stores). Most other media out there is either a gamble or outright junk.
