Wasn't Mustaine's major complaint that they would not use his name on his signature Jackson? Otherwise, I think he was happy. I mean, I own a Jackson USA dinky, a real ESP m-ii deluxe, and a USA Hamer centaura,,,,,,,and they are all beautiful and inspiring and righteous axes. I love all of them, and will never sell them or any of the USA or Japanese made guitars I own. (my only other Japanese made guitar is an Ibanez jem 7vwh.) No offense to you Jackson only guys,,,,I will never part with my dk-1, and it is just an amazing guitar, but I think this all comes down to ego and profit. There's a lot of great stuff out there from many manufacturers,,,,,,,,and these "famous" dudes want to feel needed. And with that comment, I don't understand why Jackson would not want Mustaine to have his name on his guitar, given the fact that they advertise using guys who have half or less of Mustaine's "shred" talent. Is Friedman still using Jacksons?

how many guitars do the Custom Shop produce each year? Maybe incoming management figured it might better serve paying customers by reducing the number of freebies they were producing for artists. Building Mustaine & Co 1 guitar instead of 11 would give them considerably more time to pump out guitars for regular folks and possibly reduce CS turnaround times, something I know plenty of people here have bitched about in the past (pre-Fender)Hail yesterday
