Andy used to play Jackson. I have a few vids of him playing different models, one being a pink RR, but now I believe he plays BC Rich exclusively.

King Diamond IS NOT gay or a devil worshipper (I know, that surprised me too!). I love his music, but will admit you have to understand it to get into his vocals. That was the main thing that kept me from listening to it years ago, but once I realized what he was doing I thought it was pretty cool and still do.

In an interview many years ago with King, it was asked if he worshipped the devil considering the songs he writes, the 6's, upside down crosses and references to satan and the symbolism, his response was really what I expected.

He said, many years ago he read the "satanic bible" and realized that's pretty much the way he lived his life anyway. Later on he met Anton LaVey, became friends with his daughtesr, but never joined his "church" or got involved in the whole thing.

In short he says the makeup and all that satan stuff was a gimmick of the 80's that stuck.

Overall, I think facepaint is dumb, but I guess I can handle Kiss and a few others. But all of KD's inverted cross & anti-Christian stuff is trying so hard to be offensive that it just looks retarded.

Even if you don't appreciate the vocals (it's not for everyone I suppose) you've got to appreciate the music, the guitars.
I personally love the voice too. He's a man with 1001 voices.
I remember back in the 80's when I would come across his CD's in the stores, I would have a look at his face and think: that's horrible. depressing.

But now for the last 8 years, I've been listening to his stuff more than any other band. What a mistake I made back in the 80's !!
