The next year they came around on the Abigail tour, he played a hot pink Steve Stevens model Hamer the entire show. Hey, it WAS the 80s...

no one sounds like the King. no can tell a story like the King. no one can play all the roles in the story like the King. no one can create the feeling of the stories in the songs with their voice like the King.

Most of his CDs are not just a bunch of songs, but a complete story. You have to listen to the lyrics, and follow along with the story, and you will start to look beyond his odd vocal style, and even begin to appreciate it. I thought it was weird at first too, but now I couldn't imagine anyone else singing the songs. It wouldn't be the same.

The Eye is one of my favourites too, but recently I've been listening to The Puppet Master a lot. It's one spooky fucking CD.

King Diamond is not melodic?Umm ,i think you really need to hear The Eye album!
He do not sing nice ,sinsce he teels some horror stories.It would be stupid to tell horror stories in a nice way ,or with a cookie monster way that no one understands!
He is precious ,his voice is authentic ,one of a kind.

I was reading through an old guitar mag (Guitar World?) recently. There was an interview with Andy, where he was telling how he had just received a prototype 24-fret Gunslinger. Sadly, there were no pictures of it.
