Re: Which Pickups.... (again)

Personally I love the sound of the Invader. Of course, it's all a matter of personal taste, the rest of the equipment you have, and what tone you are looking for.

As far as sound samples, just go to the web sites of the pickup makers and listen. Both Seymour Duncan and Dimarzio have good samples of most of their pickups.

Jeff, the DiMarzio website doesnt have a sample of the X2N, or I cant find it, one of the two. And I forgot about the Seymour Duncan site.
Micha - When I said 'sway', I meant it in the manner that it is also used in England as in a colloquial form of 'persuade' Like to 'sway my decision'.

Sound samples mean jack **** - the actual pickup won't sound anything like it through your rig anyway. The only PU you can kinda predict is the EMG81... kinda.
The X2N is a LOUD, well-balanced PU - it doesn't sound to "middy", nor too "bassy", it's just a great pickup for metal and can hold its own on a clean channel quite well for a higain-PU. Get it, put it in your guitar and see whether you like it or not - there's not much else you can do.

www.dimarzio.com
Many of our pickups are available in optional colors at no additional charge. Available colors for most full-sized humbuckers include black, blue, creme, green, pink, red, violet, white, yellow and all combinations of these colors.
