IMO.. its about keeping the family name and the family business and its future more intact. Yeah, you're gonna cut off an arm and a leg to still survive, and while you may be crippled, there's still the belief that there's some good you can do for the name. The kid is his blood, not some guy that was in a business relationship years ago that now seemily would exploit that relationship further for cash. Personally, if I were Ed, I'd probably be inclined do the same knowing there's going to be some expense initially.

We SMOKED the Atomic Punks, in every way shape and form..their singer never auditioned for VH..

They're good tho..not Virtual Halen good..but good.

We were going to be Dave's original back up band before them..ain't that a bitch..and this is fact.

I wouldnt go see that show. ED is an addict and that affects his playing. NOT HIS TRUE ABILITY. He has influenced more people than anyone IMHO. Hes a legend but I wouldnt pay to see JR replacing Michael Anthony.

Lets add up the people EVH has alienated. Ed is whats blocking Van Halens comback.

Valerie Bertinelli - and she has stuck by his side for 20 yrs or more.
DLR - Alomst every VH fan wants him to do another CD and tour.
Sammy Hagar - In the live without a net video he called EVH his best friend.
Michael Anthony - been thru thick and thin with the band and was always quiet about it

The band Van Halen is dead. Sammy wont play again with them and the DLR thing wont last a whole tour. EVH is someone who needs help and when he accepts it the Van Halen band will make a comeback. I wont go see it. FOr me its either Hagar/DLR,EVH,AVH and MA. Id see that show. No one else can replace these guys. IMHO
