Green Carnation

Anybody familiar with these guys? Their guitar tone is awesome on Light of Day, Day of Darkness. I was just wondering if anybody had any idea what gear tchort uses. He is an amazing songwriter/musician, hot damn.

Hm, funny, I actually didn't like the guitar tone on LODDOD that much... though it's not bad of course, just not the kind of tone I like.

If I remember correctly, the booklet says he uses Jackson guitars and Mesa amps.
That's all I know.

I'm pretty fickle with guitar tone. I like alot of different sounds. To me Green Carnation's tone was really good, it fit the style really well. Though I think it is on the verge of being too muddy. It's still good though.

Nice. What albums would you recommend of those? Is his tone in the Carpathian Forest LP's much different?

The sound of Carpathian Forest is black metal, I like black metal but the guitar sound just ruins some of it for me. They fall into that category for me, but check them out and decide.

There are several ways to do it, programs that run in the system tray or with a shoutcast server. I have a shoutcast server so I can play my mp3s through the internet while I'm at work. So I don't have to listen to the garbage that is South Jersey radio. My sig is just a .php page that shows as a picture, that talks to my server and is always updated. If you want more details start a new thread in the non-jackson section and I'll be glad to explain it in more detail if anyone wants.
