Re: Alexi tells all...
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You ever think that maybe Fender had better things to do than worry about unofficial endorsers that had no contracts? Look, Laiho would have been good as an endorser. CoB is, from what I gather, very popular in Europe. That doesn't change the fact that he's a victim of circumstance. Fender was in the middle of reorganizing a company that had its head up its arse. The Euro distributor going out is NOT irrelevant. It all adds up to one big clusterf**k that would have been resolved had Alexi or his management just been a bit more patient (play a damn King V or Soloist or something).

The distributor stuff is completely irrelevant.
When Fender first took over Jackson, Mc/D or whoever from Fender came on the board and asked what we wanted to see or what they needed to know. Myself and others made them perfectly clear of Alexi's situation with his stolen guitars and upcoming COB tour. Additionally, I was on the phone daily with FMIC mgmt(until DFW came in and f'd things up) and made them aware of the situation.
FMIC dropped the ball plain and simple.
