Anyone familiar with this band? They kicked ass back in the day and I was wondering if anyone was knowledgeable as to their rigs?

    Re: Laaz Rockit

I asked about them back in October on the old board after I picked up a video on Ebay. Dark Knight, Sir Bill Z Bub had a bit of info about them and their gear, but not too many people seem to know much about them: Ye Ol' JCF

They had a decent following in the Bay Area back in the day. I liked some of their songs but never really got into them. I think they opened for Y&T and Armored Saint at a new year's show but I missed them but saw the other 2 bands.

Hey Svart, try a search for 'Laaz Rockit' on google. There's plenty out there. And their catalogue still is reasonably available.

I still have most of their albums on vinyl, from back in the day. Brilliant band!

hey Ironhead, I saw that you said you were at the Eindhoven Festival on that old thread. Don't know how I missed that last time. Sounds like a rockin' line-up too! Thought I recognised you on the vid

Could've very well been me indeed! I was right there up front Tall dude, long blond hair? Yup, that was me!

Exodus, Forbidden and Candlemass were on that bill as well if I remember correctly ... ahh, the good old days.

All I can tell you is they used Ibanez guitars. All custom RG's. This was back when the guys form Exodus dropped Jackson and went to Ibanez. Glad to see that they are back on the JACKSON endorsee list.

My first original band, Violent Degenerates(v.d.) opened for Laaz and gothic slam back in 1990.One guy did have a jackson that he played(RR)but for the most part they had custom painted ibenhads.Their rigs were the standard marshalls and misc. rack gear.On a personal note, they were very rude to us opening acts.We had over 500 in attendance which was pretty good acdcording to them. They said most shows were only half of that.We passed out thousands of flyers for the show and while i didnt care for them as people, they simply kicked ass in concert.Loved the holiday in cambodia e.p. cover.
