  • Some pictures from a recent Exodus/Biomechanical gig. (56k warning, pic heavy)

I forgot to post these here. Better late than never I guess

Exodus played here about a week ago and I decided to grab my camera with me to the gig.

It was an awesome gig, probably the best one I've been to.

Gary Holt is one cool guy.

That's awesome! Wish there was at least one original member left (I guess Gary's close enough), but they still RAWK! Saw them a million times growing up at Ruthie's in Oakland back in the early 80's...

Close enough? He's a founding member!

But I agree, there's not much left of the original lineup. Still, they rocked. Rob Dukes is one badass vocalist.

Gary is an original member. Rick Hunolt came in as Kirk Hammett's replacement.
Exodus has always kicked much ass!!!

This site is pretty complete on the origins of Exodus...

As well as a lot of other more recent stuff I didn't know (even touched on Spastik Children - one of the more hilarious shows I've seen at the Mabuhay Gardens - with James Hetfield playing drums!).

Granted, Gary's been there almost from the beginning, and the only reason I know most of this is because a guy I knew sang in Evan McCasky's band Menace after he left Exodus, which kind of rang a bell when I saw the Exodus pics...

Thanks again for posting them, one of these days I'll get around to seeing them again!!!

Check them out. They're amazing in my opinion. Especially the singer.

Bought their albuma few days ago, they impressed me opening up for Exodus in Oslo. Very good stuff! Like the way the vocalist blends Pantera screams and Halford-ish screams.. Reminds me of 80's Pantera!

Wow, there's a lot there that I didn't know. Thanks for the link! But to me THE original Exodus lineup is Holt, Hunolt, Hunting, Baloff and McKillop. Yes, there were other guys before them but those guys wrote Bonded by Blood and that's the lineup everyone learned to knew them by.

                    No problem.
You might have to wait a while though since they're going to the studio in march to record the next album.

I agree ..I showed Biomechanical to my singer and had to burn him a copy immediately..

I really like it too..and I hope they come out with another one.

I tried to turn the wife onto Bio'...one of her faves is Exodus..but it didn't grab her like I thought it would..it will eventually.

Yes, VERY nice pics man..Looks like one hell of a show..

It's a Custom PRS of some sort. Chris also has a seven string PRS but he didn't take it with him for this tour because he hasn't got it insured yet and he doesn't want to mess it up.

Actually they are planning on recording a new album pretty soon. It should be out somewhere around the begining of 2007.
