  • Hypocrisy in Denver w/ FF

Wow. Did anyone else see this set? It was really miserable. Apparently everyone in Hypocrisy but Horgh forgot how to play their ****ing instruments.

They were also using Krank amps, and they sounded like total dog****. I'm really taken aback about how half-assed this set seemed. I've seen this band totally blow the balls off of everyone in the house on other occasions. I'm not sure what to think.

It really sucks when you see one of your favorite bands throw a show down the shitter. Please tell me they were just having a bad night and have played some decent sets on this tour!

Woah, that surprises me... everytime I've seen them in the past they just slayed. But the last time I saw them was about two years ago, I think.

Yeah I'm surprised too...They opened the last show I saw with Dimmu and COB playing stellar performances as well...Hypocrisy was probably the tightest that night and had great tone with Rectos I believe.

I've seen Hypocrisy 3 times now, and it has been excellent each time. There were technical difficulties when I did see them on the last show though. I did not stick around for Fear Factory, because I hate them, lol.

Every band playing before Hypocrisy shared the same amps (Krank), and Peter's guitar went out mid-song at one point (including where his solo should have been). Other than that, their performance was flawless.

I also though Decapitated played very well.

And I left in the middle of Suffocation's set becuase I thought they were ridiculous.

EDIT: Also it's a shame that Andreas Holma left the band. However Klas Ideberg seemed to pick up the slack quite nicely when I saw them

Really? Interesting. Ideberg couldn't make it through a single song without screwing up when I saw them. I guess I'm fairly critical and might notice things the majority of the crowd wouldn't since I know every guitar part like the back of my hand, but still. They were seriously playing like they were wasted. Maybe they were

I love Hypocrisy..never caught them live..

I do have the live dvd that came with their last release "Virus" w/ Gary Holt..I enjoyed it..

I saw Soilwork a few years back..one of my favorite Swedish thrash bands at the time. The soundman really fucked their sound up big time..I was SCREAMING at the fucker.."Dude, the guitars, umm..where's the fuckin' guitars"..he didn't even make eye contact with me once..he did that shit on purpose...that asshole!

I was there to see Soilwork..but he saved the good sound for the shitty headliner..I forgot who, some gay band!

                Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!
