Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong.

VERY mistaken...
This post is very similar to the reaction buyers got who bought Extreme's album with More than Words on it and found out it wasn't a pop album.

Stryper does have a few ballads+..keep looking, they're an 80's style double bass/kick metal band.

Stryper was pretty cool band... though a little preachy on the God thing at times. I have a few of their albums (yes, vinyl) and a couple 12" singles. They did play some killer Jacksons and Charvels, too!

You need to get their cd's definitely to listen to them rock.

Another bad one is like searching for Mr Big on kazaa, you aint gonna be hearing any shredding Paul Gilbert on the songs that always come up.

I have alot of luck with Win MX...doesn't take very long to obtain a disc worth to sample.

Amazon.com is great for checking out different groups. 30 second clips and new/used listing section:

Stryper - Soldiers Under Command on Amazon
"Quiet, numbskulls, I'm broadcasting!" -Moe Howard, "Micro-Phonies" (1945)

a pic of them caught my eye because they had these insane jacksons, then i hear some slow junk and was like i'll try again.

i would have to order their cd if i like it. thats why i d/l music first to see if its worthy to buy

Re: Stryper??!!!

stryper slams... every cd is great, some balads.. hit fast forward slamming drums, loud blazing jacksons, awesome singer / harmonies.

Saw them 2 times on this last tour, first night iffy, second time great.

Their ballads were actually pretty good, too, but the heavier stuff is where it's at!

The Rock that MAkes Me Roll is a killer tune and my Favorite, followed by Surrender. Both on Soldiers Under Command.
