Lycanthia use Jackson guitars

The band Lycanthia use Jackson guitars.

Guitarists Stephen and Giv use a Kelly and King V Std respectively. Both are guitars are Made in Japan.

Giv's guitar was originally right handed and he had it converted to a left hander.

Anyway, i just finished listening to the MP3s. They sound pretty good. [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

Silly question, is there a market for "Nightwish" type music in Australia? i always though punk was the way to go for Aussies.

With a population of only 20 million Australia doesn't have much of a market for any music that is not 'radio' music.

There are more options here to watch a metal band than a punk band in Sydney.

I guess you had that notion as The Living End are quite popular though there isn't really a good punk live scene here.

As for gothic style doom metal bands there are quite a few here.

Frankly speaking the only musician from Australia that's in my bible is Tommy Emmanuel. The punk thing just came from friends who are located in Aus.

don't believe so. He's running some guitar institute in LA. I think he still has family in Canberra though.

One Aussie metal band that is gaining a lot of interest is Dungeon. If you like metal in the vein of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween check out

Other Aussie bands in the style of Lycanthia are Chalice and Virgin Black, just to name two.
