JCF artists favorite guitars..

Since we are all technically artists, known or unknown I thought it would be really cool if everyone here posted their favorite guitar in their collection. I've always had a hard time choosing, but a friend made it simple and asked me "if you could keep only 1 guitar, which would it be?".

I am hoping people will post their favorite guitar that they own along with a high quality picture and name their 2nd runner up. I think in the end it will be interesting to see what everyone chooses. Sort of the "elite of the elite" type deal. Hell, could make a really cool JCF desk calendar and with 365 day in a Calendar year, no would have to be left out.

I'll start with the first post.

It was a hard call, but the 2000 Charvel Custom Shop Star I picked up from Kenn a few months ago has got to be my favorite. Between the Huge neck width and the tunomatic, it just feels so different and so right. Sure I'd miss the floyds, but I could definitly get by. 2nd runner up is my 2003 GMW Bengal strat. It's been a great year for guitar acqusitions.

As of right now, it's my '95 Hamer Special FM I bought from Pete (Twisteramps) at the beginning of the year. I took out the JB/'59 combo and now it's got the EMG chrome 25th anniversay 81 set.

My second favorite would have to be my black '94 string-thru Jackson Dinky HX with EMG 85/60. And its twin in red has a Tone Zone and J50N pups.

If I could only keep one it would be my Model 4 on the left. I bought it new and will never sell it.

Second choice would be my red Model 3 in the middle

My favorite will have to be the guitar I've owned the longest. I saved every penny I made my entire Junior year in high school and had this Dean custom made for me in 1982. Every aspect was made to my specs. The thin mildly V'd neck is still my favorite of any guitar.



My runner-up is a toss-up between these two 1981 Strathead Charvels, both kill.

It is a very early '85 Soloist Student with the 3 piece neck I love and Floyd Rose tremolo. I have to say, I really dig the tone of the rosewood!

My overall favorite is this guitar:


It is a dead stock January 1959 Jazzmaster in ultra rare for the gold pickguard era blonde finish.

my favourite is the newest in my collection. My Fusion Plus was about the best playing guitar I've ever had the pleasure of spending time with....until last weekend, when I picked up my US Fusion. So new favourite is the black Fusion below, runner up is the yellow Japanese Fusion Plus beside it. I always said I'd never get rid of my yellow Jackson, but now I have the black one, I'm not so sure..... [img]graemlins/images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

That white 1985 san dimas custom RR is awesome! I used to have one just like it but sold it. It still hurts.

My black Jackson RR3 is the best guitar i've owned. Though i had to change the bridge pickup for a Dimarzio X2N [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] i'll post picture of it as soon as i get some pictures online.

1988 Carvin Ultra V, plays and sounds like nothing else I've ever owned.

I'm with Boxcar - My '85 RR Custom is probably the one I'd keep if I were only allowed one.

It would have to be my Weddington Classic.
It's the best looking guitar I own, and it plays and sounds awesome.
