We sat and jammed for a minute on some Rivera amps and Hamer USA guitars (which he said he hated...ESP guys!). He was cool. Told me all about some new Rivera gear he got from Paul Rivera to do the album with. I was very psyched!!

A couple of years later when Saigon Kick got back together (minus Jason - they had the guitarist from SLAUGHTER) my singer and I were hanging at the bar when Matt Kramer came up. We bought him some drinks and shot the breeze...he was pretty far out of his head. When my singer asked him if they were getting Jason back, Matt got pissed and said not to bring that up. He was kind of a dick after that. Then we went to Orlando to see them again, and Matt did a stage dive and kicked me in the fucking eye!! He broke my glasses and gave me a mega shiner. All a coincedence though.

Damn, I wish those guys would get back together...

Oh yeah, don't forget about Skid Row. Their latest record rips...even with out Bas.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif"> I listened to Street Ready cd the other day. I didn't know they reissued it. Saigon Kick's long been a favorite of mine... see Lizard tattoo http://tinyurl.com/3h282

On the Water tour, I kept flashing the band, Pete kept cracking up and was saying nice tattoo, Phil thought it was really cool, I don't think Jason saw it, or at least he didn't acknowledge me.
I haven't heard any of the new Skid Row without Bas yet, but I've been thinking of picking it up.

Anyone here remember "The Rods", or am I the only one who has the album? David "Rock" Feinstein on guitar and vox. Now that I think about it, it is a promotional copy and maybe was never fully released.

Re: The Forgotten Bands

Often, once-popular bands continue to be "around" in the sense that they haven't formally broken up, and they may hang out together, play live, or even release recordings, yet they can still be "forgotten" to the majority of the public, as evidenced by shorter/less frequent tours, lower attendance at smaller venues, and lower record sales.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Did Leatherwolf get a new singer? I remember Michael Olivieri left and Ray Alder from Fates Warning was supposed to do vocals on their last album, but I heard they broke up instead. What's their deal now?

Olivieri is still in AFAIK. He played in all their gigs this year (4 supporting Halford and 1, the Gates of Metal gig that I attended, supporting the Iron MaidenS heh heh heh heh).

Not talkin' hair band here...just forgotten. Do you guys remember the band U.K. ? The album U.K., U.K. was some great guitar instruction from Allan Holdsworth. I saw him at a small venue on Long Island and got to meet him after the show. What a great guitarist and a nice guy !
