Does anyone know what pickups Alexi Laiho used before he got endorsed by ESP? He said in an interview that he used to use some kind of Jackson pickups and he likes them a lot better than the EMGs in his new custom ESPs. If anyone knows, that would be great. I don't think I ever heard a better sound come out of any other Jackson.

According to the local gurus, it's a J50BC pickup through a JE1000 gainboost preamp. -

how on earth is that possible: someone who can get a decent sound out of that PU... I hate those things, first thing I did after obtaining my model 6 was getting rid of it.
