Where do you get those figures? According to RIAA his only gold album is Passion and Warfare, gold being 500,000 copies in the US. OIf course I know the US isn't the whole world, but I am curiuouis to know where you can get the sales information?

Live at the Astoria is double platinum though, well-deserved too! It's my go-to DVD when I want to blow people's minds with a wild guitar DVD!

I doubt the figures are from any reputable source, more likely pulled out of thin air or some other, darker, place. Having said that, I don't think it's an unlikely assumption to make either.

If P&W sold a half mil in the states and the same in the rest of the world, that's a mil right there. If all the rest of his albums only sold a fraction of that each, I imagine combined they could still top another mil. So if in total his albums have moved 2,000,000 units, then you can say he has sold "millions"

According to Robbin Crosby and Chris Holmes, that's not entirely true.

Oh yeah, I can totally see how you extrapolate that. I just wondered if Endrik had a source for hard numbers. I would love such a source as I only know RIAA, which only has gold and platinum certs for US sales. It doesn't give you the actual sales either, just what the certs are.

vai has stated in interviews that flexable has sold over 750,000 copies since itts release (sales spiked nicely after passion and warfare and the whitesnake album)...after manufacturing and marketing he saw close to 6 bucks off each sale cause he self financed the whole thing...you do the math...and thats just from flexable alone...however when he joined david lee roth he was still fairly unknown (re:close to broke...lol), so it wouldnt surprise me if he gets a percentage off of each jem...it was, after all, his design...d.m.

Mostly from the interviews, I'll see if I can find them. There were some charts too I have think where they are.

Passion has sold more than a mil worldwide, his last one went gold in Japan with ONE WEEK, you can imagine how much it has sold for now worldiwde.

And remember in US 999999 is also a gold
