Hanneman's Jackson has been so modified it can just barely be called a Jackson anymore.EMG actives+ it started life as a string-thru,and was routed/modded for the Kahler (as Jackson won't put a "tonesucking" Kahler on a guitar unless it's Custom-Shop ordered.......or a Jackson Stars...good luck trying to order one from Japan, even with Babelfish translating their dealer websites)! To the 3 guys that ACTUALLY GOT a Jackson Stars.....Cool for you...HELP ME!

Uh, his Jackson is a pretty old USA model... everything was custom made back then, and lots of Jacksons had Kahlers. Got any proof it was originally string-thru? Never heard anything about that.

Sorry, but you're WRONG.Kerry's tech Armand even said Hanneman's Soloist was a string-thru that was routed for the Kahler.I'm aware some Jacksons had Kahlers, but where are they,NOW,in BLACK.. FOR SALE? I can find,AND ALREADY own a PURPLE 80's ,Kahler'd *CHARVEL* superstrats....and have contacted several guitar refinishers about repainting my Charvel BLACK,and got return emails saying,basically...we're too busy...and WHY BOTHER?

The newbie is just assuming Soloist models now are just like they used to be way back then. Not so. Kahlers were very common back then, because Kramer had the rights to the Floyd Rose trem. Also, there were no "production" Soloist models back then, like today's SL1 & SL2Hs. Effectively, everything was custom back then.

Edit: And Kerry's tech is WRONG or you misunderstood. String-through USA Soloists pretty much didn't come along until just the past couple of years. WTF would he know about Hanneman's gear, anyhow? He's KERRY'S tech.

FWIW Jeff Hanneman is a big bundle of contradictions. If he's a Nazi, he doesn't let it get in the way of his musical tastes re: The BIG, PROMINENT Dead Kennedys sticker on his Jackson.

                "Nazi punks fucking die!"

Who's the nerd that dug real deep to resurrect a thread that was dead over two years ago? BTW, your mom says hi.

I thought it was originally a bolt-on with a vintage trem - surely that's all they made back then :ROTF:
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

yea, and you got all that info from a friend of a friend, whos aunts former lovers step sister, used to bunk with this chick in high school, whos cousin was a roadie for this band, who had a groupie that was hannemans tech former roommate.

if you say something, be prepared to back it up with facts, or you'll get a new asshole ripped man.

Well I've recently chimed in with the jcmarketingguy about this very guitar! Hope he chimes in this thread in case I'm off! CS has it, or had it! And they made him a duplicate! His old one was sick, but didn't go into specifics but that he had a duplicate made, and talked about using it to record the new one!! Though all the new pics I've seen haven't showed it!
                            I love admins!

I don't see this mentioned anywhere but Jeff used to use a Gibson Les Paul in the early days. It was black and may have even had a tremolo on it. Check the Ultimate Revenge video.
Actually from what i recall it was a bc rich les paul with a kahler

seen it on some vids from the hell awaits era i think

You are a newbie, newbie! Unlike "jackass", that's not an insult. It's a FACT determined by your low post count.

There are many, many members here who are waaaayyy more knowledgable about this stuff and Jackson's history than YOU are. Or any cousin's-uncle's-friend's-who-heard-it-on-an-internet-board who heard it from a guitar tech. Spouting off bullshit "facts" like you're doing might play well on the ESP board, newbie. But people here know better. Maybe if you shut your piehole for a while and listened to the expertise of some of the members here, you might actually learn some things.
