Is Henry Rollins really a liar?

Actually, I wasn't speculating. To be honest, I was asking Ron about what he said in a non confrontational way. I could care less about JH. Personally I think Slayer blows, and always have. It has nothing to do about his beliefs.

There is no communication from you to me that ISN'T "non confrontational". So don't give us that BS. You just want to stir up shit. And now everybody can see that. Done with you.

Actually that isn't the least bit true. Sorry if you feel that way. I may not agree with many things you say, but I really have nothing against you. I didn't realize that we aren't allowed to disagree on this forum anymore. My question was out of curiousity. I am not familiar with Slayer as a fan, since I don't like their music. As a result, I don't follow them. You clearly do. I was wondering why he would pose with a Nazi flag in his literature if he didn't at least support their ideals. I figured that maybe you knew...perhaps he spoke about it.

I did notice that ESP discontinued his signature guitar. Possibly due to the SS like fret markers.

Kinda dangerous topic for a first post but here goes : the flag in the picture is I think the flag of the Kriegsmarine, Germany's navy during WWII. The BC Rich he's holding is decorated with replica's of SS bracelets denoting the Division to which one belonged.
My guess is as good as anyone's, but I just think he likes the imagery of it, as Lemmy does for instance, and there isn't any political or racial meaning behind it.

Re: Jeff Hanneman\'s Jackson

I don't think ESP have discontinued JH's guitar, I think they just stopped putting the SS Eagle on as fret markers, probably due people who "can't get down with that...especially not in the world that we are living in at the moment".

Anyone who pays a reasonable amount of attention to Slayer, JH and his WWII memorabilia collection can very quickly come to the conclusion that the guy is not a Nazi or a rascist but those who look only at the pictures will miss this. Spend any time investigating JH and you will most likely come to the conclusion that he is a drunken bum who collects this stuff because he thinks it looks cool and he has an interest in military history, especially WWII.

You'd also discover that he has one of the coolest neck humbucker tones out there and he can play like a demon! YAAASSSSS!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">He uses dual EMG 81s! Though, I think he should go with an 85 in the bridge.

Doesn't JH have an 81 in the bridge and an 85 in the neck?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Actually, I think it is Kerry that has 85 in neck position in some of his guitars. I'll try to find out.
I have a copy of a SS ring that used to be given to officers. I think it looks cool, but does it make me a fascist?

Well, I've just checked it on the official Slayer site. When asked about pickups Kerry says 81&85, Jeff when asked if they used 81 in both positions answered "we don't use that pickup at all". go figure it out for yourself.

Okay. I know Kerry's signature ESP models had the 81 in the bridge and 85 in the neck. I assume his other guitars have them that way, too. I read somewhere about Jeff using two 81s just like Kirk Hammett does. I know they run a lot of midrange in their sound, so maybe they're using 85s?
Jon Donais from Shadows fall likes a lot of mids and uses the 85 in the bridge and 81 in the neck, he said his tech gave him that idea and likes them that way better.

I don't see this mentioned anywhere but Jeff used to use a Gibson Les Paul in the early days. It was black and may have even had a tremolo on it.

Yes, I remember seeing pics of that one. However, check this thread title!
