What's the switch or button thing he uses? I remember reading something about it connecting and disconnecting to make the sound it does. Anyways, here's a link to him playing Jordan which uses the thing.

No other name I know of. What they do is you hit them and it essentially turns the guitar "off". Very handy.Comment

It's basically the same as having two volume controls on your guitar... you turn one volume off, then toggle the pickup selector switch back and forth so there's no sound from the one pickup and then you get sound from the other pickup. Pretty cool for machine gun type effects.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.Comment

A kill switch is just a switch that cuts out your sound. You can use the 2 volume control thing or you can have a switch fitted. Tom Morelllo from Rage against the Machine uses them alot too.Comment

I know the guy can play but he just doesn't excite me. His band sounds thin due to no rhythm guitarist. I've seen the guy whip, so I know he can do it. Plus it's a little too depressing !!! Just MHO.. Please don't get on me if you don't agree.Comment
