Siggy called you small minded. You're right, that wasn't called for either. Your response was "fuck off and die", which is way over the top. Also, you'll notice, I spoke only in regards to your comments to Endrik. His post merely disagreed with what you said, and you replied with a personal attack. I didn't call you an asshole. How about you reread the thread, because I didn't miss anything.
I must mention: I've got no problem with you. I just thought that your comment to Endrik was unneccessary, considering that your anger should have been directed solely at Siggy. It's pretty sad that my "fuck off and die" statement made in defence of my being insulted is what this is all about now...
I explained my comment towards Endrik who...(as I said before) quite adequately defended himself.
And I'm not angry...A bit hurt I suppose...if that's not too ghay...
It would still be nice if someone could just argue with my original point to the who guitar God thing...It WAS a good debate...

Reason I called you small minded is because you are, you think that your opinion of what a guitar god should be should be for everyone. Well wake up, everyone has a different idea of what a guitar god is.
A guitar god is someone that inspires you to play, and for millions of kids Kurt inspired them to play.
Kurt may not be your Guitar god, not really mine either, I looked up to him for doing his own thing. But I can see how many kids would look up to him as a Guitar God just like kids of years ago looked up to Page, Richards, etc..
He did do alot for the music scene, not only as a guitar player but in general with his music. Like i said MAY NOT BE YOUR THING but it is for millions of people.
Out of the grundge scene there are going to be certain bands always remembered just like bands of the 70's and 80's, and of course one of the main bands will be Nirvana as well as Alice in chains, STP etc..
As to arguring, there are only a few things that get me going, one is people with small minded opinions, and two, anyone putting down music, I dont care if you are putting down rap, rock, metal or whatever, It drives me crazy when someone puts down any form of music!

It just seems to me that you guys define "guitar god" differently and have different tastes. Thank god people do have different tastes & opinions, otherwise the world would be a boring-ass place. Debates are great, but at a certain point nobody's mind is going to be changed. That's when it's better to just agree to disagree rather than insult each other, imo.Comment
