the performance was slightly better than the last few vids I've seen of him, including that flowershop party vid which was just terrible.

he can play all that shit in his sleep, so it was not all that impressive really, and I think that's what John is saying, because I kind of agree with his comments.

I stayed with VH when bailed on VH when they put out For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. I did not like that album, nor anything they did after that.

he had his time in the sun. it's long gone and now he is living on borrowed time. that much was evident from his current condition. he's a fuckin mess. and that's not "bashing," it's just the sad but unavoidable truth.

as for playing with a prototype amp, puh-lease. what's the obstacle there? he's had that amp for months now, how long does it take to get used to a new amp? it sounds fine and what we saw was just Eddie as he is now.

Regarding cutting Ed some slack??? Nah, he has more opportunity to clean his act up than any of us will ever have. Oh yea.. not that money solves problems but he is a frikking zillionaire and was married to a total piece of ass too.
I hope he straightens his act out too although I think he is at the point of no return. From that video.. he looks homeless and sounds homeless too.

Boring and uninspiring. Sounded like a kid who just got his first double locking trem. Its ashame. Where is the kick ass creativity and fluid playing that we should come to expect from a guitar god?
