  • Some vintage Uli Roth (Electric Sun) for ya...

Here's some studio videos from his first solo record. Bad singing, amazing guitar work... the songs aren't bad either (well, if they had a better vocalist ). Uli plays the coolest, most melodic licks IMO (along with Schenker of course).

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Check out this guys other videos if you're into Schenker and Roth. There's a couple of cool newer live Stryper performances in there too. He's got a ton of cool, rare stuff.

There simply is no better guitar player. I have a live recording of him from 1972. He was shredding neo-classical stuff way back then too.

Speaking of Schenker, here's some cool in studio footage.

And the drunk guy next to this hippy thinks he's pretty good too...

Saw him last year - 3 hours of sheer bliss, looking forward to his return to SoCal for his shows later this year!

This may get me in trouble, but what a thin, weak singer he was.
Awesome guitar player imo, but he really held himself back by
insisting he would be the lead singer too? I kept thinking to myself
that it was like Satriani's "Big Bad Moon". Not a good thing imo

Haha, not the best singer in the world, no argument there, but hey, at least this singer is instantly recognizable
You know, I'm just one of those guys who's so mezmerized by his guitar playing that his singing really doesn't bother me

Yep. I can listen to his tunes on the strength of his playing alone.

The guy is such a creative force that I don't think he'd do well in a band environment where all members are on equal terms. Shame though, because he's "got it" and never really achieved the fame he deserved.

He is my all time favorite and will always be. His singing is just about as good as Hendrix.

You know what, I may have said Uli wasn't the greatest singer in the world and that's one thing, but I have to give him credit for doing his best anyway!
Even if his voice is/wasn't the strongest one out there, at least he sings with feeling and emotion, and that can really get my attention too.
I'm thinking: "Hey, this guy is trying to tell us something, hear how eager he is? Let's check this out!"

trouble? he is infact one of the most horrible singers I've ever heard, he needs to STFU and ONLY play his instruments. It amazes me how someone with such a great ear even dears to open his mouth.

He sounds like a cross between Dylan and Hendrix to me.
