regarding the issue of whether this tour will last the whole run, here is an interesting post I saw on another board and this guy has reason to know some industry stuff in LA
There is no doubt that Roth and the Van Halens signed a contract with the promoter (Live Nation) which will heavily penalize them financially if they fuck up and blow off the tour. Whether the shows are a joke or the band surprises the doubters and pulls off a good or even great tour, it's gonna happen and unless there's some catastrophic emergency, the band *will* play all the booked dates or lose a lot of money. Supposedly, the tour starts either in late April in Las Vegas or in NC in early May with tickets on sale in late February. I understand there's supposed to be a big press conference today which happens to be Eddie's birthday.
