It wont last the whole 40 gigs. The Van Halen Bros hate DLR. Plus with out the real bass player its not VH. I'll pass until I see a new CD with the real VH and not a facsimle of it. Its another money grab and well id do the same I guess but I wont pay to see this train wreck.

I will definitely be getting tickets. Hoping it'll be a great reunion. And even if it's a total train wreck, oh well, it'll still be worth the price.

          You have made my day!

This is the best news I've heard in a LOOOOOOONNNNNNNG time. I WILL be there. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. EVH is the king of rock guitar. DLR is the ultimate frontman. DLR+EVH=MAGIC. Both are amazing talents, but putting them together produces a result that is exponentially better (kinda like Steven Tyler/Joe Perry, Robert Plant/Jimmy Page, Mick Jagger/Keith Richards, etc.). Alex and Michael are both talented, but the magic lies in DLR & EVH. I'm sorry that Michael won't be there, but that won't keep me away - nor will wild horses.

It's true that the DLR/EVH combination is volatile, and I don't know how long they will keep it together. I understand that. They both apparently have major egos (kinda goes with the territory of being king of rock guitar & the ultimate frontman, I suspect). I hope for our sakes that they can, but that's just all the more reason for me to make it a priority to see them together ASAP, before it's too late.

Hmmm, odds on all members making it to the first gig?

I think they'll get there. Too much $$ on the line. But I will put the over/under at 20 shows before it blows up.

A hell... I'll go see it.
Nothing like watching a trainwreck happen up close.
No, it's not really VH without Michael, but VH was the first concert I ever went to.

Like I have said before, I will be there for the first gig, and I will be in the front.

Who else is going with me?

                    Mike
Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Hey... if you're buyin', I'm flyin'.

Seriously though... first show in Vegas... I know it will be way out of my price range.

I'll just wait until/if they hit Phoenix.

I will probably go if they come to CT or close. I have fond memories of many VH shows I've attended.

I hate to be synical but Dave just flat out can not sing anymore. I bet when they go to start rehearsing for the tour, Ed will call it off.

well we've seen ample evidence that Ed can't really play any more, other than a few minutes of noodling random uninspired old licks to pimp a new amp and very expensive copies of an old beat up guitar.

so I'll be even more cynical and say the show will go on and they won't really care much what they sound like as long as the money is rolling in.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives
