I like that stuff except for the happy clean vox parts.....it's getting way too cliche already ....I like Killswitch Engage ....but HATE the vocals very much...


If you can't sing good clean ......please don't keep it harsh ....it's better that way in that scenario ...IMO.


Byzantine ....owns all metalcore I heard so far..I'm still a sucker for Lamb of God and Himsa though

I'm going to go with BLS- The Blessed Hellride. That album should be a template for all upcoming guitarists on how to play metal. Not a bad song on that album and never gets tired, IMHO.

I just got the Rage-Soundchaser album. Awesome german power metal with one hell of a guitar player. I guess this one also qualifies among the best metal CD's of the new millenium.

El Bastage ....I'm a huge fan of Rage ...I have every single disc by them ....which is a lot!!! Soundchaser is great ...Victor Smolski is one bad Mo Fo ...

Well it a hard choice to make for me because I love all true metal of all kinds.....so I would probably pick this stuff ...off the top of my head ...it's more than five ...but I couldn't live withouth this stuff

Iced Earth - anything , esp. SWTWC / Brainstorm / At Vance
Exodus - TOTD
Dimmu Borgir / COF / OMC
The Haunted / Soilwork / Darkane / In flames / Arch Enemy / Terror 2000 / Dimension Zero / Opeth and ect...
Symbyosis / Controled Denied / Theory in practice

and some new stuff like Lamb of god / Himsa / Watch them die / the black daliah murder / byzantine ...etc.

this stuff is on my payer a lot.....along with much more ...but this was supossesed to be "5" ...I can't pick five!

St. Anger! Okay, definetely not, just thought I would get a few laughs (more like switchblades!). I really hope Metallica can go back to their old stuff, they never will, but here's hoping.

I can only pick 3 new albums because I've been listening to all of the old stuff. I'm catching up on what I missed in my childhood of being forcefed country. Iron Maiden, Megadeth, OLD metallica, Black Sabbath, Cradle of Filth (not old, but some of their best works being premillenia), and so forth.

By the way, Atreyu? Why? I respect your opinion about them, but I just didn't get the band's concept. To me, it sounded like punkers trying to be metal. That's cool that you like them though, and again I respect your views.

Today I've also been playing some Nme Within again, they're definately something different and have some great songs, but unfortunately their are also some real crap songs on the album.
But yeah, I'm definately hooked on Rage!! I'm also looking forward to Victor Smolski's solo CD coming out in september!!!!
