Michael Angelo Batio uses Jazz 3's, Francesco faeri uses those small stubby purple 2 mils. What does John Petrucci use?

yngwie uses 1.5mm delrin dunlops.

dimebag used some d'andrea , slayer uses them to this time i think
i found some interview when dimebag said he used dunlop .88 green ones ( turtle )

just like so well known artists as Me and Scott Ian ;]

slash uses purple dunplo tortexes. the 1 mm. he's the reason i use them,. that and I found the advantages of heavier picks.

I thought I heard one time that John Petrucci uses the Dunlop Tortex 1.14mm with the point. That's what I use so I thought it was cool. But, I could be misinformed.

I just checked Petrucci's forum and did a search. Apparently he uses Jazz III's as well. Oh well, I thought I was cool for a while.

The 1.00 are the blue tortex, the purple are 1.14. [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

randy used the fender mediums?! that's awesome man, i guess that goes to show that it's all about practice and finding your own feel.

I think petrucci uses the black Jazz III's not the red ones.

Ritchie Blackmore used Turltle Shell picks of weird shape. It's like 1mm I'll post a pic when I find it.

Alexi Laiho uses Jazz 3's
Zakk Wylde uses Dunlop 1.0
Malmsteen uses 1.4 i think or 2.0

Jazz III's for John Petrucci.

I heard that Malmsteen uses 2mm standard shape picks.

I love John Petrucci, but I love Malmsteen's choice of pick.

ahh, sorry. must be the purples! sorry about the wrong gauge!

and I hear Brian May used a british sixpence. could be wrong, but thats what i heard
