  • Vito to finally break his silence!!!

It's been a longtime coming but it turns out that White Lion's elusive guitarist, Vito Bratta, is finally resurfacing:

WHITE LION GUITARIST VITO BRATTA WILL BREAK HIS SILENCE AND GUEST WITH EDDIE TRUNK ON THE RADIO!

2/9/07: I am thrilled to announce that one of my good friends, White Lion guitarist Vito Bratta, will join me live in the studio Friday 2/16/06 for the Q104.3/syndicated show! I have had so many emails and calls about this great guitarist over the years and Vito has not spoken to anyone in probably more then 15 years. He will be live in the studio with me, playing tunes, taking calls and giving away copies of the brand new 2 CD White Lion Best Of from Rhino. This really should be a special show that I know many of you are excited about. It is live on Q104.3 NYC from 11PM-2AM EST and will run on all affiliate outlets at the usual day and time (see Syndication for a list of all outlets). You can listen live online at www.q1043.com but only in the USA. If outside the US you can hear it online through the KNAC.com replays. Again, all info in Syndication. Do not miss this special show, another Eddie Trunk EXCLUSIVE! Don't get my show on YOUR local station? Let them know you want it!!!

I did think that Vito was one of the better 'Glam' shredders in the 80's so maybe this is a sign that Vito is gonna take another shot at the industry he turned his back on so long ago. Maybe a White Lion reunion eh? I wasn't a 'big' White Lion fan (liked some of their stuff) but Mike Tramp has made several attempts in the past to persuade Vito to return.... may even be influenced by the recent VH reunion?

    And on the 8th day,
God kicked back with a beer,
And gave that Jackson one helluva beating!

I think he had to stop playing due to tendonitis or carpal tunnel?

I remember reading in a magazine a while back he messed his hand up. He was laying down playing an acoustic, and heard a snap in his hand and just couldn't play anymore, or something to that affect.

I saw mike tramp live on a solo deal in cali in 2001. he said vito messed his hand up, thats all he knew. Mike said vito just kinda disappeared after that.
Its a complete catastrophe. But Im a professional, I can rise above it. LOL

Totally. I really hope he can still play....

I always dug Vito's playing, but loved Mike Tramp's voice even more! The only White Lion album I really enjoyed was the first one, Fight To Survive. I always liked Mike's band Freak Of Nature better.

Vito was awesome, but like many stellar players of that time period, got tagged with a craptacular band and it stuck.

I doubt there's going to be a White Lion reunion since bass player James Lomenzo is now in Megadeth.

                            Can Lomenzo even play Megadeth?

Did anyone else here think at the time that Vito looked a LOT like EVH?

And what's this 2 CD "Best Of White Lion"? They weren't good enoug to have one "Best of CD", let alone 2

Of course he can. Greg D'Angelo used to play in Anthrax before he joined White Lion.

EDIT: Damn did I come across like a besserwisser on that one
Sorry, I forgot the obligatory smiley, so here goes:
