I saw Vito live and it was clear to me who he grew up on and emulated. he even looked like Eddie a bit.

it is a shame he got hurt and could not continue to play. that would be unbearable.

I liked the songs, actually there is probaly alot of music I like/liked that alot of people on this board wouldnt. I am a very diverse musician and will listen to almost anything if it sounds good enough.

You might have not liked Tramps voice, but I did, and well I have always been on the romantic side so what he sang about hit a litlte closer to home. You have to remember hippie, i also listen to emo/screamo!

Music is very personal, I listen to so many different kinds, anything from 50's, 60's all the way up to today, anything from rock, rap, country, metal etc.. One day I can be listening to 70's classic rock, then flip on maiden or priest, then some grundge then whatever i feel like listening too.

The other day I had to take a call from work that required me to drive 2 hours to member site and back, on the way back I was listening and singing such songs as meatloaf, men at work, Def leppard, cinderella, donna ross etc..

I guess when it comes down to it i am comfortible enough with myself to say yes i like some chick music! Call me a pussy if you want, but my response to that is, I am what I eat!

          Who is Donna Ross?

BTW, you aren't the only diverse listener around here. I imagine you'd be pretty surprised by my CD collection.

But White Lion was just sooo bad
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

Ah crap, diana, it is still early and I just woke up!

And I am sure there is alot in your collection that I would feel the same way, just crap. Different strokes for different folks.

VH1 Classic guy that does the metal show always plays saxon and i cant stand them, but I understand alot of people loved them, but just enoys me to death!

HAHAHAHA!!! i was on the guest list for the winger show in st. pete the other night. i was surprised because i have always HATED them, but i will admit, that band could PLAY!!!!! way heavier than on the cds, and i was stunned at a lot of what they were pulling off. plus kip winger actually sang really well!!!!

i was NEVER a white lion fan, but thought vito had a great tone and i loved his note choices!!

i would like to hear what he could do in another musical setting....
              GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

Yeah, I loved that solo too! It wasn't his most technical but it just fit the song perfectly!

God kicked back with a beer,
And gave that Jackson one helluva beating!

Probably the most melodic songwriters from the 80's. Go listen to the rhythm work on any White Lion album, it was amazing. They were much more than 3 chords and a solo.

As for the VH thing, I agree with Siggy, he was VH and so much more (he actually did more than tap).

Very interested to hear if he'll be doing anything in the future with his talent.

I'm listening to Fight To Survive right now... on vinyl. It's the only album I ever bought from them.
I remember seeing the video for Broken Heart in 1986 on the U-68 music channel. Remember those old TVs with UHF dials? Turn the one dial to U, the other to 68, they played all the best hard rock and metal videos of the time!

U-68, that old school! (which coincidentally makes me old school too... emphasis on OLD)

Saw alot of early vids on that, another memorable one was Seven Seas from TNT. What a kick ass song that was.

Yeah, that was such a kick-ass channel. I remember TNT, as well as Queensryche, WASP, Stryper, Razor, shitloads of other bands.
                        And I was 14 in '86.
