    any other T-Ride fans here?

power trio one cd wonder band from 1993, they had a totally different sound than anyone else out there. the guitarist, Jeff Tyson, was a Satriani student. still no one sounds like them today. I got this when they broke and have love it since. mindblowing cd.

pretty cool sounds and arrangements, the vocals are weird tho.

Weird is the word I first heard of them on this forum, you should find a thread somewhere if you hit the search function

I had that album but I never really connected with it. Good musicians, bad songs IMO.

Love the album. Wish they had more ready to release.

Met Geoff Tyson at NAMM. Cool guy. Asked him and he played a couple modded Charvels.

in this case weird = brilliant

I love his scatback and spoken word type vocals approach, and the multi-layered Queen-like background vocs are insane.

Endrik I searched and here was your post from late 2005:

digged up some old stuff again....this time it's T-Ride. What an AWSOME band it was. They made only one album, the self titeled one. Very unique sounding record. Van Halen meets King's X meets Genesis meets Queen is the best I can describe them. Badass players. The guitar player Geoff Tyson was Satriani's student, he does some small projects right now, the drummer Eric Valentine is a producer and audio engineer for high budget artists, dunno what happened to the main man Dan Arlie who was the lead singer and bass player.

Anyone remember them? If you are not familiar with them I suggest checkin' 'em out, their records are very hard to find tho.

I totally agreed with you back then. I must have been stoned and forgot I saw them posted about here back then.

what changed your view in that time?

I haven't changed my view, I've always thought that the lead vocals were strange....I loved the huge vocal harmonies though

I love this disc. I saw them completely destr..., uh "open" for Tora Tora at Hammerjacks, and they could do it live, too.
Division - American Metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on Facebook.

right on bro. they had a reputation for blowing their headliners off the stage. I really wish I'd have had a chance to to see them.
