Megadeth, definately. Kill 'em All is pretty much the only Metallica album I listen to these days, and Dave wrote most of the decent songs.

Also, imo, Marty > Chris. I haven't heard any of Polands solo stuff, but omg, Martys solo stuff and Cacophony.. :o I love him.

Marty is a better songwriter, composer and playes more melodic and memoriable solos and he is one of the most unique players. I like 'em both but I dig Marty a little bit more.
Endrik, can you recommend some of Chris Poland's best stuff post-Megadeth?

I'm curious to hear that stuff based on your comments.

Trujillo is insane! Even comparing him to anyone in Megadeth is absolutely moronic. he is a better bassist than Mustaine is a guitarist. Listen to Suicidal Tendencies, or even the new video of Orion. Although it's not as good as Cliff's, Trujillo does an amazing job.

Trujillo's my favorite bassist alongside Les Claypool nowadays. Overall, my fav bassist is probably Cliff.

Get some of that OHM stuff that Gary mentioned before, can't reall compare that to Marty's stuff because Chris is a jazz/fusion player and well Marty isn't jazz at all.

Btw. Chris gets a pretty cool sound from his THD amps

just some random noodling but you'll get the idea, pretty nice and thick tone IMO

sorry but Rob could outplay Cliff with his ass hair, Cliff had a great musical vision, attitude and fast right hand fingers but Rob is a session player who has more chops, groove, style, versality and ability to create great bass lines, Cliff really didn't made much grooves or bass lines, he basically played the same thing wich the guitars did, also he wasn't much of a pocket player not to mention he didn't slap or played walking bass lines
