I saw 'em opening for metallica.

I think they sounded very generic, the riffs and solos were very booring, the vocals sucked. They tried to have somekind of Motley Crue and Guns'n'Roses image, even their album "Poison" cover is very GNRish, while musically they tried to mix classical thrash with modern stuff. Nothing new but they don't suck either, I can listen to them live.

But anyway, I've never heard any of their music but knew that they're under the 'metalcore' category along with numerous other bands which I despise, but being the fair chap that I am, I decided to check a few of their songs out on 'MySpace - THE place for all things emo' .

So after a few clips of a few songs I came to the conclusion that they pretty much suck - the vocals are terrible and it has that commercial 'new' sound which I hate. I dislike their tone as well, but thats probably because I'm a fan of oldschool 80s metal with loads of high and not much bass (sounds like that to me anyway.. possibly the production?).

That vocal style again. I just can't get past it. I'm sorry. That's just the way it is. I haven't really listened to what it is they are singing about yet.
But the whole "beauty in death" thing is something I just can't seem to get into. My sister seems to love it tho. She used to call herself a goth, yet she had no idea what it meant. She called me and asked me what it meant once.

I hate their music but:
on album- they have solos. They're pretty good (much better than A7X... who I absolutely despise), but the riffs are generic

Videos of them live- they suck. Sloppy and sound like shit.

Pretty much, only slightly respectable ON ALBUM.
