Megadeth "Sleepwalker"

Anybody else here a member at Megafanclub get to hear "Sleepwalker" on the club website? I did indeed make a recording of it and have listenned to it several times now....... Nothing like "Gears of War" actually it's quite brutal. (the good brutal that is) Lost of double-Bass with great drumming (Shawn Drover is a MONSTER!!!) heavy intricate guitar riffs, great growling vocals with a infectious hook and guitar solos......lots of guitar solos. A couple by Dave and a couple by Glen Drover who now that I get to hear HIS stuff, he kind of reminds me of Chris Poland and his tone with the feel of Marty. Sounds kinda like if Holy Wars, Symphony of Destruction and Peace Sells were put in a blender and made into another supersong. By the way....it is in fact almost 6 minutes long........you guys are going to love it. I think the Metallica guys should give it a listen before they do any more recording on their new album......maybe they'll get a clue.

I rate it 10 out of 10 Headbangers!!

I saw them a couple of months ago. Glens tone and feel were actually similar to Poland live, now that you mention it. Not quite as legato and slippery as Poland, but similar. On the Eidolon albums, his playing does not really remind me of Poland though. Maybe its a new thang. I haven't given a shit about Megadeth for 15 years, but the description you give...sounds pretty righteous. I see them again in 6 weeks, so heres hoping for a couple new ones in the set.

Better than the last song. The first 30 seconds sound like Kill the King. The solo around 3:30ish sounds pretty cool.

Woah it sounds quite a lot like Rust in Peace/Polaris. The riff in the beginning is missing something though, its like there is a beat missing or something? Its not...clicking. Once the lyrics kick in and it changes slightly it seems fine though.

I like it also, not a great song though imo! The intro kicks ass! reminds me of the intros in the peace sells album (my last words, good mourning black friday etc. )

And the second Glen solo sucks bad..
