jimi Hendrix , Ace Frehley, and Jimmy Page made me take extreme notice, but
Eddie Van halen made me pick up a guitar and want to learn and rip. He was the one who got it into my hands and was a bystander no more.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

I bet I'm the only one who will say Tom Verlaine of Television (I had an unhappy childhood haha)
I even made the mistake of buying a Jazzmaster!

Him and Ritchie Blackmore were my favorites when I was starting electric guitar

Recently (I'm a little behind the times)I've really been into the DLR era Van Halen and Y.J. Malmsteen.

hmmm. I guess it starts with all those guys making cool noises in my dad's record collection. Guys like Clapton with Cream, Todd Rundgren on Bat Out Of Hell, Mark Knopfler, Joe Walsh & Don Felder, Randy Bachman, Dave Gilmour, Ian Moss from Cold Chisel.

Once I started listening to my own music, it was players like Gary Moore, Adrian Smith, Yngwie Malmsteen, Stevie Ray Vaughan & John Sykes that made me wanted to pick up guitar.
