Yeah, he's a pretty quiet dude. I got to sit with him for a while at BW&BK..while we were laughing at the performance of a Cleveland band (Archetype)..yeesh! :ROTF:

He's not much of a talker, but discovered we both like alot of the same bands...which was cool.

I burned him some stuff...he "smiled" then..

Shawn seems more outgoing..

I've seen that guy play at length and close up (in my own basement) and he's quite a good player. Not thinking he's quite there with Marty, but he's a solid player nonetheless.

I actually like Glen's writing style better than Marty's..

Freidman is a truly awesome player, one of the greatest..BUT I look at the whole picture..

It's not all about skill and technique..it's what you do with it..

Yngwie is incredible..but he's been writing the same song since 1983..

Glen is one amazing riff/song machine with his own distinct style IMO..and he sure makes a cheap 8200 valvestate bark!!

Not fair to compare Marty to Glen..apples to oranges there..they both have their own style and do quite well with it..obviously.

I'd take either over Petrelli..that dude is a very good player but a real asshole...John and I think.

I have ALL of Marty's music including his work in Hawaii..I'm a big fan of his playing, that is influened heavily by Uli Roth.

I'm a fan of Glen's song writing more than I am of his solos/sweeping and ect...tho he does just fine in that area too.

Jeff Loomis who is my favorite metal player/ writer was going to be Megadeth's guitarist after Poland left..but Dave didn't want a "geeky" lookin' kid smokin' his ass on stage every night. Jeff did look VERY young back in '90...Jeff was also a runner up for Vicious Rumors at the time...their lastest release with Brad Gillis

Like him or not..you have to be a pretty good player to get the Megadeth and King Diamond gig..you must say.

I don't think that will happen with any of us anytime soon..
