I just caught some of this last night. Wow! It was the coolest "unplugged" ever. Most bands just play their songs almost the same way just with acoustic guitars. Not Korn. Man, they really mixed it up way cool. Who knew Jonathan Davis could sing that good? They used all kinds of wild acoustic instruments - Davis was even playing handbells. The singer from Evanescence joined them and she sounded great. Robert Smith of the cure joined them and was fantastic. They did a very cool cover of Radiohead's "Creep" (better than the original IMO).

Yeah I saw it last week, and I was pretty impressed. I even told my wife that Davis sounded awesome, and I had no idea he could sing that well. I really liked the setup too, all the extra musicians in those wild animal mask and some odd instruments, like that round glass spinning thing that guy was playing(lol I have no idea what it was). I thought it was gonna be lame, but I liked it so much I got the album off itunes. Like you I thought The Cure/RadioHead stuff was excellent.
I really haven't listened to Korn in years and am not what you would consider a fan, but I really liked what I saw and heard.Come and get one in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles, you yunick jelly thou!

I haven't been very impressed with any of the unplugged stuff I've heard so far. I don't think there music translates very well to acoustic guitar. There have been only a hand full of artists that have been able to pull it off and Korn ain't one of em'.

meh... Korn's OK, the Cure is decent... but Evanesance I hate. Unplugged was a bad idea for them. The little bit I saw, he was singing the exact same way as on the albums, which ain't exactly acoustic-friendly.
But then again, the only unplugged I liked was Alice in Chains."Better to Die Quickly Fighting on Your Feet
Than to Live Forever Begging on You Knees."-LoG
R.I.P.
Dimebag Darrell
Chuck Schuldiner
Cliff Burton

That was damn good! As for best unplugged, I have to find and listen to SRV's unplugged version of Pride and joy again for comparison. I only saw it once when it came out on MTV, wear he rips it on a 12 string."Your work is ingenius…it’s quality work….and there are simply too many notes…that’s all, just cut a few, and it’ll be perfect."
