holy shit I just found this!

    Richard Patrick from Filter
    the DeLeo brothers from STP
    Ray Luzier, killer LA drummer

this is right down my alley, I always loved STP's music and Filter was awesome too. I was just wondering about the DeLeo brothers the other day, weird.

Yeah, I made sure I got that CD the week it came out. I always liked STP but never cared for Weiland too much. Richard Patrick really does a great job singing and the drummer really steals the whole show.

I got that album back in November, not long after it came out. Heard it on the radio and went to the store looking for it.

If you like 'em, spread the word. It's a good record but it's not really selling all that well. Hopefullly they can get a good tour going this spring and it'll pick up.

Tommy, the lead single is "Goodbye". Sounds like STP with the guy from Filter singing, pretty much. He reminds me of Trevor Horn (Yes Drama album) in the chorus and Weiland just a little on the verses.

It is overdub city on the guitars though, lots of textures.

Yep, an STP fan here as well.
Locally, Indy area, it (Army Of One's Good Bye) gets played alot on various radio stations. Its good stuff.

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

check their vid in the link I posted bro.
they sound great, like if Filter and STP had a raging child.

I love em right off the bat, great shit. Dean DeLeo's playing better than ever, Richard Patrick is singing better than ever, and the drummer's just insane.

I love both bands, so I love Army of Anyone. Anyone see the Silver Ksutom Halfstack in the Goodbye video? A shop here has one, and they are just the coolest thing. Back to the topic, one the few new bands i can stand.

I've been wondering about this band, since I like STP, but just haven't heard them. I can't pull up youtube at work but I think the used CD place has this one, I'll pick it up.

I'm on it like bluebonet, gonna pick it up today and give it a couple of spins. It takes a couple of runs to realize if you really like an album or not, you can't say you don't like an album after one listen, unless it's music you hate like compilation CD's like-"Now that's what I call Cookie Monster Music"-lol
                          It's true.

It's a cool record, Goodbye is definitely the best song on it though. The rest is all cool stuff, won't blow your mind but it's a cool rock record to fuck your girlfriend to, I'd say. Of course if you dig the Jimmy Page school of layered guitars, Dean DeLeo is a great student of that school and he does it well.

You would have to have a 2-guitar band to play pretty much any of the stuff, because there are separate slide guitar tracks on almost all the songs for atmosphere effects. So at least 2 gu8itars to approximate, though there are more than 2 guitar tracks on everything. You know, it's like playing Zep songs, you have to make up something that kind of combines 2 different parts to make it sound close to the record.

I don't agree with lerx, I love Goodbye and it's a great song, but I think Disappear and Generation and A Better Place are all even better songs. to each...

this is not a shred cd, it's a very well-crafted cd of great songs, riffs and harmonies that stick with you like glue. I have not been able to get this one out of my cd player.
