              Not only is he a great player, but he looks like he did when he was in yardbirds. How old is he now? 145?

              I thought Vai invented playing melodies using natural harmonics and the bar?

                my favorite guitar player on some days, and on other days it's VH or De Martini. Imagine a mix of all three , sprinkled with the songwriting skills of Mick and Keith.
                Not helping the situation since 1965!

                  one note of his is better than 4 million notes of others, the way he just hangs on it , bending it, letting it ring, etc. You can't find a better album from him then "There and Back". I bought my 6th cd two days ago, I keep losing it, or I lend it to someone and it's gone. All the songs have their own identity, there's no format to the album, it's a masterpiece, more than Blow by Blow even. Go get it if you don't have it already.
                  Not helping the situation since 1965!
