Jackson needs to work on their artist relations and their endorsement program. I've had conversations with endorsees (past & present) who think Jackson could use some help in building up their relationships and services.

One incident, a certain endorsee was waiting forever for a CS guitar because they intially built what the endorsee wanted but then they sold it to an account. Causing the endorsee to leave on a tour w/o said CS guitar. Talk about "servicing the line". Ha!

It's an economic decision for most of these bands. They aren't exactly million-selling bands and everybody needsw money to live. ESP promotes its artists a lot more and offers sweeter endorsement deals to many more artists than Jackson.

Sure, they're not as good as Jacksons. Any pro can play a decently playable guitar and do fine with it though.

I've just been reading this same post repeatedly for almost 5 years here, and Jackson gets plenty of feedback from this site. They seem to not care about competing for endorsees and so more bands will leave Jackson for the economic benefits. No sense getting upset if Jackson isn't, right?

Just as an observation, out of that 83, how many of them are well enough known that someone is going to start playing jacksons because they do? Probably not many.
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

No. I recall Silenoz' camo Rhoads and also Galder used that Gun Metal Grey KV:

Glader used a lightning sky RR and Silenoz a straight black RR when I saw them in 2003. Silenoz didn't start using the camo RR until the past couple years. They have black Jacksons, or did.

Looks like silenoz has a black kelly here and of course Galder has his RR...

that was in fact the first video of this "band" I ever saw, perfect introduction.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

I saw Dimmu live on Monday for the In Sorte Diaboli North-American tour.

They both used ESP; Galder had a Alexi style v, with gold pinstripes and hardware. Silenoz had a Custom Shop V, similar to the George Lynch Super V but with a F series headstock. Awful..

They also tested the backup guitars during soundcheck; Same for Galder except a fixed bridge instead of a Floyd. Silenoz backup is actually the first ESP he got, a custom red Alexi style V.

I also saw Behemoth two days ago and noticed with horror they were all playing LTDs (Nergal was playing an Amott Ninja V, Seth an EX of some sort).
Last time I saw them they played Gibsons and Custom 7s and whatnot.

                        What a shame.
Nergal has originally always played an LTD EC1000, and Seth has always played the LTD EX400.

                        Nergal is endorsed by ESP

                        cheers
