  • any love here for Foghat?

I heard Fool for the City on the way home tonight, been a longass time.

Foghat used to be my favorite band when I was like 12.

I Just Wanna Make Love to You
    Slow Ride
    Maybelline

    that was some good stuff.

I guess Lonesome Dave died in 2000 from cancer.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

you have to like those tunes or there could be something wrong with you.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

        I love FOGHAT!

If you haven't heard it, you need to get "Return Of The Boogie Men" from 1994. It's in my opinion thier finest hour, with all original members, but nobody I know even listened to it. Every song on this album just rocks.

Lonesome Dave died 2/7/02 and Rod Price also passed away on 3/22/05.

        A couple of Rock's finest.

Let me slightly rephrase this. You have to like those tunes or you're fucked in the head.

the first concert I ever saw was Angel/Foghat/Aerosmith, at the old Boston Garden.
great stuff, I wore out their live album when I was in high school.
If this is our perdition, will you walk with me?

                A great 70's band indeed.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

I always loved Slowride and Drivin' wheel, though I've really got to check out their greatest hits cd, as the radio here doesn't play there stuff, and besides though two songs I haven't heard a lot by them. Still, a great band.

Back in the 70's my dad had a custom van and that 8 track was in heavy rotation.

Yeah, Foghat was a mainstay on my record player in '78 along with Cheap Trick at Budokan, Boston, REO Speedwagon - Live you get what you play for, and Rush - Fly by Night.

Then Van Halen 1 was released and my Foghat albums got very little play time after that.

Foghat was great...which reminds me, I need to get some Foghat tunes for my ipod now.
