Although I hate his playing I think Glen's lead in this one is pretty good but it's just not finished. The passage between his solo and the Marty solo is not ok, because Glen's doesn't sound finished, instead it sounds like it's the middle and the best part of that solo

And he ruined the very last part of the Marty solo, there used to be a great arpeggio in that part

sorry, this is Dave and his 3 hired guns, it's not Megadeth to me. and all they can do here is re-do a great song with an inferior lead player to the original.

            zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Megadeth has always been 3 hired guns and Dave.Dave IS Megadeth. Rhythm, leads, songwriting, vocals,he knows what he wants and doesn't seem to compromise. To some he may seem egotistical, and he may be,but he's churned out some of the best metal tunes ever written.

I thought the solo sounded fine, certainly not as flashy and flowingly smooth as Marty plays, but this guy isn't Marty. Then again a great song should never be about the guitar solo anyhow. The new version is a little less raw than the original, but I'm really digging it. I think he's brave for putting Christina on there, and I was quite surprised at how well it turned out. It really put a new emotion into it,very interesting. And man,Dave's vocals, whoa,so much smoother on this version,a little less of that "growl" he had on the original.

Wow @ the tone on this too,so rich and thick,I don't care for his new guitar, maybe he secretly recorded it with a Jackson V and played the Dean for the video?

I like it. About the other part, wasn't Megadeth always sort of Dave and three other hired guns? And I don't mean that in a bad way

Now if he would just get back with Jackson.........

EDIT: Didn't see the above post. He says it better.

weak and radio friendly remix publicity stunt. dave tries too hard to look tough.

Meaning that Dave, Jr., Gar and Chris were the real Megadeth. That was my favorite version but as others have said Dave IS Megadeth for better or worse.

Pretty cool version. Lacuna Coil is a cool band. Good choice, Dave!

they were the original lineup, but not the best.
