Marty was Megadeth. Glen Drover is awesome, though. He can easily take the place of Marty.

Bring back Al Pitrelli and Jimmy DeGrasso!

The Drover brothers do a mighty fine job! And like Dave (Sevser) says, it's time to move on and leave the past behind.

Personally, I don't think it suits her.. she's better for LC than screaming next to Dave.

Not bad. Christina is a good choice both for the song and commercial success.

Although Marty is awesome..I have everything he's put out

But I been listening to the Drovers for 12 years now and familair with their style..with that said.

I prefer Glen's riffs, writing and tone over Marty's.

I think the Drovers are a asset to Dave and Megadeth personally..and they sound like they are on their game after years of lameness!

Scabbia's contribution was very cool and dynamic..I really liked it!

A decent song made even better IMO!
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
                  Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.

I like both versions, wait until you hear some of the other songs. Unbelievable!!! Why is it Dave and 3 hired guns now and it wasn't back in 1986? It's Dave's band and he's always had great musicians playing with him. Nobody slagged Frank Zappa or Miles Davis for changing bandmates and the same should apply to Megadeth.

well since that was my criticism, I'll respond.

it's just my opinion. I liked Peace Sells, and I liked So Far, but the Rust lineup was when Mustaine finally got it right. no one here seems to dispute that Rust is MD's best record. it's a thrash icon. and that lineup continued laying waste to the metal landscape for 10 long years until it ran it's course with Dave claiming some kind of nerve damage that took away his ability to ever play again

                        until

he broke up the band and then decided a year later he could (miraculously I'm sure) play again, and decided to hire 3 new guys to be Megadeth.

it's no different than Axel coming out with 4 new hired musicians (one with a fuckin cardboard bucket on his head and wearing a yellow rain slicker on stage ) and that we were supposed to buy that this was GnR.

it's lame. they aren't the same and I'm not going back. I loved Dave's music and political approach throughout the years but that "nerve damage" claim was pure fuckin BS so that he could rearrange MD to make himself more money. laaaaame.

the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

I'm not sure that's entirely fair. Menza had already split, and Friedman didn't want to tour anymore. The only guy left was Junior, and who gives a shit about him anyway? :ROTF:

Good song, well done. There is no reason to cry for Marty. I love his playing, but these days he is chose to play j-pop, and this is his choice... And I respect his choice, but I don't respect him for that.

did Menza leave of his own accord? he was such a great drummer.

and....Friedman's been touring since going solo.

I think what you meant was, Friedman didn't want to tour with Mustaine anymore.

To make money??? Get rid of well known musicians and hire unknowns?

I think he is one of the first metal musicians that broke into mainstream and actually decided to go with the integrity of the music...Say fuck em, to the Hollywood musicians and hire ones that would help him bring back the Megadeth, for music sake.

Yes he is making money but...really...Who would have thought metal would come back like it has.
