If Eddie is or has used the CC why is SD selling the EVH
    (Evenly Voiced Harmonics)
custom order pickup if it's supposed to be representing Eddie's signature sound?
Currently at 78 guitars - Paul Reed Smith, Jackson, Robin, Washburn, Carvin, Peavey, U.S. Masters, G&L, Hamer, Godin, BC Rich, Yamaha, Fender, ESP, Kramer, Cort, Ibanez, Aria Pro & Charvel

The CC is too hot of a pickup for eddie to have used. I think the rumor started because if you asked seymour duncan support which pickup to use to get the brown sound they would recommend that one.

I love the CC, especially in a mahogany body. Wasn't the pickup in the original Frankie a Gibson PAF?

But EVH liked the lower output version more so they issued the high output version as a regular pickup and the lower output as custom pickups for the Musicman signature.

Only recently did EVH allow the lower output version to be released in the regular line as the "Air zone"
theres one BIG problem with your findings bro, my custom wound bridge EVH dimarzio in my EBMM is NOT a air bucker only the neck one is a air bucker
and the bridge pup has more output than the air zone which i also own in another guitar
so it CANT be a air zone
it is actually right in between the tone zone and air zone output wise
If it's not a CHARVEL then i dont want to play it,look at it or even fuckin THINK about it!
