according to mesa website, looks like they both use 3 channel rec's and oversized cabs.

Sorry for bringing this thread up, but where did you get that information?
And has it changed now? Or is he still using the same?

Probably different, since his Jackson sigs are his main guitars now and the black RR1T, he only uses for a few songs.

And with the new album, they're using DGCFAD too, aswell as CGCFAD.

I can't say about string gauges or amps though.

Im not a huge fan of their genre, but I enjoy their album Scream..aim..fire. The song Hearts Burst into Fire has GREAT tones and I love the production of it.

Ive been TRYING to get my mixes to sound similar to this.

If anybody hasnt heard much of em, download that track and have a listen, I think it's pretty good!

I know their tuning, that's not pretty hard to figure out cause almost all the tabs say what tune the guitar is in!

He has a silver sparkling randy rhoads, is that the RR1T Custom with reversed headstocks? Or is it a RR3/5 ? Here's an image for you who don't know which one I mean:

That particular guitar is what his new sig model is made after.

You know its funny one of their videos came on MTV and I pointed out to my friend for music now a days they sound alright.

My friend then points out if this band try to come out in the 80's or 90's they would have been mostly ignored since the other music then would have totally overshadowed them in every aspect. I could not disagree with that statement.

I am just glad to see some mainstream acceptance of the music and Jackson guitars.

So what does that mean ? That noone can get a jackson like that?
His "sig" model I've heard rumors about since april! And still no sign of a sig model. At least not on jackson's website. And if some magazine wrote about his sig model, it's still nowhere to be bought.

I'm just wondering what guitar he uses :/

That is the new model. He used it for most of the show when I saw them in November.

Yes, I've understood that, and that's why I'm wondering if it's an RR1 or an RR5

Its probably a custom guitar that he had jackson build for him and they are basing a signature model off of it to be released in the future. Basically its an RR5 with a reverse headstock, custom inlays, custom paint job, and probably different woods used in the body/neck.
