the most impressive rock vocal performance ever IMO is on the Skid Row's track "The Threat" wich if from the album "Slave To The Grind"
The last 10 seconds is really impressive where Baz does an amazing scream without any pauses.

I was never a fan of "Hair Metal" back in the day so I didn't listen to most of the vocalists listed. Some one mentioned Marq Torin, I saw him live in 1989, maybe good on CD but not so good live. The same could be said about David Lee Roth. For singing. Not for stage presence. Glad someone also mentioned the dude from Sancutary and Nevermore...

For me, Halford wins it hands down...

But the vocalists I would ad from that time are...

Definitely have to agree with you. Those works were great, and I actually liked some of the stuff he did, on the show "Making The Band" on VH1, but the last time I saw him, it was "Celebrity Duets", and both he AND HAl Sparks sounded like shit! Bummer.

I enjoy Paul Shortino, Sebby Bach, Brian Vollmer of Helix, Mike Tramp (but maybe Vito just filled in well and made you not notice, Vito Bratta=best metal guitarist of the 80s IMO) and finally Donnie Vie of Enuff Z'Nuff, he had a great Beatle-esque, pop built voice

How could I forget Vollmer and Shortino. +1000 on those two guys.

One of my favorite songs is Stay the Night from Quiet Riot with Shortino on the vox.

Someone else I dug was Richard Black from Shark Island.

My favorite female singer? Ann Wilson - she can sing you a lullaby and put you to sleep, or kick you in the ballz. Pat Benetar is a VERY close second.
