Too bad Baz doesn't have the voice he used to have...
no one sang with so much balls and attitude as Sebastian
the most impressive rock vocal performance ever IMO is on the Skid Row's track "The Threat" wich if from the album "Slave To The Grind"
The last 10 seconds is really impressive where Baz does an amazing scream without any pauses.

      Just listen to it

you're damn right I like Derek

He kicked ass, and used the Floyd in a very unique way...but that's a whole new thread

I also enjoy Marq Torien of the Bulletboys, the Steelheart guy, I know his name, it's just too crazy to spell), and Russ from the Killer Dwarfs

Yeah, Derek was a great player. His style reminded me a lot of Phil Collen.

Speaking of Enuff Znuff, anyone else here think "Animals with Human Intelligence" was a great album? (twas my fav of theirs).

I was never a fan of "Hair Metal" back in the day so I didn't listen to most of the vocalists listed. Some one mentioned Marq Torin, I saw him live in 1989, maybe good on CD but not so good live. The same could be said about David Lee Roth. For singing. Not for stage presence. Glad someone also mentioned the dude from Sancutary and Nevermore...

For me, Halford wins it hands down...

But the vocalists I would ad from that time are...

            Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth
Tom Araya (Before he lost his scream)

Just thought someone should mention them...

              +10 to Brad Delp
+10 to Coverdale. Nobody sounds like him.
+100 to Bruce Dickinson- what a powerful set of pipes

No Joe Elliot? Saw them live just a few years ago. He nails it live.
              Steve Perry?

                Thought of 1 more...

Does anyone remember the band Powermad? Had a "hit" called Plastic Town back in the day. Don't remember the name of the singer but that guy could belt it out...

[quote=Endrik;916961]Halford will never be one of my favourites. He has an amazing power and range but his mid range.... well he is average at best at it.... when he doesn't scream or whatever he sounds pretty booring. Just my opinion.

..no midrange? That's because he keeps fucking-up the back of his throat when his boyfriend cums over....

Definitely have to agree with you. Those works were great, and I actually liked some of the stuff he did, on the show "Making The Band" on VH1, but the last time I saw him, it was "Celebrity Duets", and both he AND HAl Sparks sounded like shit! Bummer.

I dug some of the stuff Paul Shortino did, in Rough Cutt, too. Liked the gravel-y voice.

How could I forget Vollmer and Shortino. +1000 on those two guys.

One of my favorite songs is Stay the Night from Quiet Riot with Shortino on the vox.

Someone else I dug was Richard Black from Shark Island.

My favorite female singer? Ann Wilson - she can sing you a lullaby and put you to sleep, or kick you in the ballz. Pat Benetar is a VERY close second.
